Journal Club Call for Presenters and Moderators
Calling All PGY2 Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Residents!
Journal Club is a monthly program hosted by the HOPA Education Development Committee for PGY2 Residents to present critical evaluations of recent hematology/oncology pharmacy literature.
Have you published or discovered Hem/Onc pharmaceutical research you're passionate about? Do you want to present an article recently published to an audience of esteemed colleagues? Ready to enhance your resume? Apply for HOPA's Journal Club!
Through an application process, two PGY2s, like you, will be assigned to present their evaluations to an audience of hem/onc pharmacists each month.
You'll have the chance to present your article during our August 2026 to December 2026 sessions. Lectures will be shared virtually, recorded, and will be available as enduring webinars.
You must be a PGY2 Resident during the 2026-2027 residency year and a HOPA member in good standing to apply.
Journal Club Application - Application Deadline: May 30, 2026
All completed, eligible applications will be chosen at random. All applicants will be notified via email in early June whether or not their application was chosen.

HOPA Member Pharmacists: We need your help to moderate Journal Club!
Moderators will:
- Review presenter article choices
- Give feedback on draft presentations
- Attend a 30-minute practice session
- Introduce the live Journal Club webinar
- Lead the question-and-answer session
Moderator duties are spaced out across a 2-month period leading up to the live webinar date. Duties add up to approximately a 4-hour total time commitment.
