Course Description

Upon completion of this module, pharmacists will gain a working knowledge of process of medication procurement and the role of specialty pharmacy in the procurement pathway.

Dr. Comeau is an Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences at University of Louisiana Monroe College of Pharmacy. She is also a Gratis Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, LSU-Health Shreveport. Her current practice site is in the outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinics at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Academic Medical Center. Her main practice areas include lung, head and neck, and GI malignancies. She obtained her PharmD from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences-Boston, completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown PA, and her PGY2 in Oncology at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia. She obtained her BCOP certification in 2011.
