Become a HOPA Annual Conference 2026 presenter

HOPA Annual Conference 2026 (HOPA 2026) is March 25-28 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Annual Conference Committee is currently seeking speakers across multiple topic areas and multiple session categories.

The call is now open through July 31, 2025.

General Sessions

General sessions are usually 60-75 minutes in length. They cover topics applicable to a broader hem/onc pharmacy audience and are ACPE-accredited. Interactive sessions - such as panels, debates, roundtables, etc. - are encouraged. There is a limit of up to 4 speakers per session. General sessions can be either knowledge- or application-based.

Please note that Pearl sessions are 15 minutes in length and should be knowledge-based. There is a limit of 1 speaker per session.

Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cellular Therapies
Classical Hematology
Malignant Hematology

BCOP Sessions

BCOP sessions are usually 60-75 minutes in length, and they cover more advanced topics. Interactive sessions - such as panels, debates, roundtables, etc. - are encouraged. There is a limit of up to 4 speakers per session. BCOP sessions are generally application-based.

Examples of BCOP session topics include:

Interpretation of diagnostics/molecular reports combined with disease agnostic approaches (e.g., HER2, RET, NTRK, BRAF)
Survivorship (women's health, sex-based differences, sexual health, fertility, psychosocial, screening/prevention, etc.)
Radiopharmaceuticals (drug handling/disposal and XRT types/AEs)
Steroid Refractory Immunotherapy Toxicities
Hematology (updates in ALL, novel therapies like consolidation blinatumomab, adults and pediatrics, practice management issues for blin, novel therapies in multiple myeloma)
Updates in Breast Cancer: 1L in both metastatic HER2+ and Triple-negative
Navigating clinical trials in the workplace (logistics, protocol reviews, protocol monitoring, consenting team, drug handling)
Other

Breakout Sessions

Breakout sessions are usually 30 minutes in length. They cover more specific topics and are ACPE-accredited. There is a limit of 1 speaker per session. Breakout sessions should be knowledge-based.

Rare Malignancies
Updates in Heme
Updates in Solids
Special Populations
Practical Issue of Clinicians
Practice Management

Practice Management Sessions

Practice management sessions are usually 60-75 minutes in length. They cover a wide range of responsibilities in various pharmacy settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community practices, and they encompass both administrative and clinical leadership functions. Interactive sessions - such as panels, debates, roundtables, etc. - are encouraged. There is a limit of up to 4 speakers per session. Practice management sessions can be either knowledge- or application-based.

Examples of practice management session topics include:

Optimizing pharmacy workflows and resource utilization
Ensuring regulatory compliance and financial stewardship
Advancing medication safety and quality assurance practices
Developing pharmacy staff and cultivating future leaders
Promoting the pharmacist's role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care

Become a BCOP Updates 2026 author

If you are a board certified oncology pharmacist with subject matter expertise in any of the topics below, we want to hear from you! Authors are needed to design advanced-level updates that are 60-90 minutes in length and based on new and ongoing therapeutic developments.
