Cancer pain remains one of the most significant challenges in oncology, affecting quality of life and treatment outcomes for patients across the cancer spectrum. Despite advances in cancer therapies, pain is often under-recognized and undertreated, requiring a comprehensive and individualized approach. This session will provide an overview of the current landscape of cancer pain management, highlighting the differences between nociceptive, neuropathic, inflammatory, and treatment-related pain. We will explore both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic options, including the appropriate use of opioids, adjuvant agents, and complementary modalities. Emerging and novel therapies will also be discussed in the context of multimodal and multidisciplinary care.
