BCOP Updates 2026: How Low Should We Go? Incorporating Updates in HER2-Targeted Treatments for Metastatic Breast Cancer into Clinical Practice

This presentation will review the historical and recently updated HER2-testing paradigm as it relates to HER2-targeted treatment of metastatic breast cancer. Audience members can expect to be engaged in discussion of recent clinical trials that have led to new drug approvals and guideline updates. Most recent among these include the DESTINY Breast-04, DESTINY Breast-06 trials, and DESTINY Breast-09 trials which have provided evidence to support the use of fam-trastuzumab deruxtecan in the HER2-low, HER2-ultra low, and HER2+ metastatic breast cancer settings, respectively. Audience members will review a series of cases designed to aid in reinforcement of clinical trial data and introduce nuances of treatment selection throughout the spectrum of HER2-positivity. In addition, audience members can expect to be introduced to several investigational treatment options that may prove practice changing in the future.
