Shannon started her career at Michigan Medicine, where she quickly gained experience in both inpatient and ambulatory care. As an inpatient oncology specialist, she served as the inaugural oncology team lead, and was a member of the NCCN Myeloid Growth Factors Panel. Shannon's role in ambulatory care was to grow oncology services, which culminated in her leading the creation of pharmacist-embedded clinics across all adult and pediatric specialty areas.

Inpatient and ambulatory oncology services at Michigan Medical were eventually aligned under her leadership. Shannon then joined McKesson as Director of ClinReview and Clinical Content for practices within The US Oncology Network before acquiring her current role.

Shannon received her PharmD from the University of Michigan and completed her residency training in Pharmacy Practice at Harper University Hospital (Detroit Medical Center) and in Oncology at the University of Michigan.

Shannon's research and practice interests focus on lung cancer, quality and value of care, new and emerging roles for oncology pharmacists, and use of technology in clinical practice.
