Katie Gatwood, PharmD, BCOP, FCCP is a Medical Science Liaison at Autolus Therapeutics. Prior to her recent transition to the pharmaceutical industry, Katie practiced as a Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapy Clinical Pharmacist Specialist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for nearly 10 years. In her time at Vanderbilt, she helped establish the outpatient cell therapy program and also served as Director of the PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency Program.

Katie received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Oncology Residencies at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC. She has been a board-certified oncology pharmacist for the past 9 years.

Katie has been actively involved in several oncology pharmacy organizations, including HOPA, since the beginning of her career. In 2021, she was the recipient of the ASTCT Pharmacy Special Interest Group New Practitioner Award and in 2024 she was the recipient of the ACCP Hematology/Oncology PRN Practice Advancement Award. She has also served as the chair of the ASTCT Pharmacy SIG and the ACCP Hematology/Oncology PRN. She has authored multiple oncology articles, book chapters, and educational materials and spoken nationally on supportive care management in hematopoietic stem cell transplant patients and the implementation of CAR-T cell therapies in clinical practice, focusing on her experience with outpatient administration of these complex therapies.
