Module 9: Medication Procurement
Course Description
This module provides participants with an overview of the medication procurement process as it relates to oncology pharmacy. Upon completion of this module, pharmacists will gain a working knowledge of process of medication procurement and the role of specialty pharmacy in the procurement pathway.

- Examine the role of institutional policies and procedures in the medication procurement pathway
This module includes an ACPE Pre- and Post-Test, an eLearning course, and a course evaluation. You must complete all of these module activities, in order, before claiming ACPE credits.
Presenter

Dr. Comeau is an Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences at University of Louisiana Monroe College of Pharmacy. She is also a Gratis Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, LSU-Health Shreveport. Her current practice site is in the outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinics at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Academic Medical Center. Her main practice areas include lung, head and neck, and GI malignancies. She obtained her PharmD from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences-Boston, completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown PA, and her PGY2 in Oncology at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia. She obtained her BCOP certification in 2011.

Application Course for Pharmacists

HOPA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
To claim ACPE Credits the learner must complete all required activities, including the pre- and post-tests, and course evaluation. CE's will be reported within 1-2 weeks of completion of the credit claim activity.
