Annual Conference Travel Grants
Two grant opportunities - just one application!
Interested in attending the HOPA Annual Conference, but need help getting there? We can help!
Annual Conference Travel Grants offer funding to cover your travel expenses, allowing you to focus on what really matters: learning, connecting, and contributing to the future of oncology pharmacy.
General Annual Conference Travel Grant
HOPA is proud to offer 75 general travel grants, each worth $600. Each scholarship will reimburse recipients' expenses related to HOPA 2026 registration, travel, and lodging following the Annual Conference, up to the max amount awarded.
Access, Representation, and Opportunity in Pharmacy Travel Grant
Once again, HOPA will offer two Access, Representation, and Opportunity in Pharmacy Travel Grants - at $1,500 each! As a people-driven organization, we respect all voices, work hard to remove barriers for all, and welcome all perspectives. Through this initiative, we aim to foster a more inclusive community where diverse experiences and ideas can shape the future of pharmacy.
Things to Consider Before Applying
- Make sure you are a HOPA Member in good standing! Only HOPA Members are eligible for either kind of travel grant - so either apply for membership or make sure your dues are current before applying!
- Recipients may receive up to two travel grants (for any live programming) within a five-year period.
- Make sure your CV is up to date. That will be required when you submit your application.
- As part of your application, you’ll be asked to provide the name and email address of a reference who can submit a letter of support. The letter should confirm the applicant's current employment or student status as well as discuss the description of need and the impact of attendance at the HOPA Annual Conference on the applicant and practice site or institution. We encourage you to contact this individual in advance so they can be prepared to receive and respond to the request.
Awardees will be selected through a scoring process that includes:
- Current HOPA membership status (preference is given to students and residents)
- Financial need
- Learning objectives for the conference
- Whether or not research is being presented at Annual Conference
- Demonstrated involvement with HOPA (lowest weight)
Complete the online application by Friday, January 9, 2026.
