Survivorship for persons with cancer includes promotion of good health practices, surveillance for cancer recurrence or progression, and prevention and treatment of toxicities, including psychosocial distress. The presence of psychosocial distress, including anxiety and depression, may negatively impact patient outcomes and QoL. Disease, treatment, and socioeconomic factors influence anxiety and depression in adult persons with cancer. In this module, participants will explore risk factors and contributors to anxiety and depression in adult persons with cancer, identify scoring tools for assessment, and review data surrounding pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to address anxiety and depression, including the utilization of cannabis.
