Past President 2023 LeAnne Kennedy

PharmD, BCOP, CPP, FHOPA

LeAnne Kennedy, PharmD, BCOP, CPP, FHOPA, is an Oncology Clinical Manager at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC where she has practiced on the blood and marrow transplant service for 25 years and led the development of the pharmacist-run outpatient transplant program. She is the founding residency director the oncology residency program and has precepted over 21 oncology residents from WFBH and 15 oncology residents from other programs in addition to over 100 PGY1 residents and 50 pharmacy students over her career. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Kennedy teaches at multiple area schools of pharmacy and at Wake Forest University School of Medicine as well as coordinates an elective course in oncology at Campbell University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She has many publications and has spoken at local, regional, national, and international pharmacy meetings. In 2005, she was the recipient of HOPA’s Award of Excellence and was in the inaugural class of HOPA Fellows.

She earned her PharmD from Campbell University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and completed a pharmacy residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She is board certified in Oncology and is clinical pharmacist practitioner in the state of North Carolina. Dr. Kennedy is a founding member of HOPA and has been involved in multiple committees including the Award and Recognitions, Standards, Education, and Program committees as well as serving as HOPA’s ACPE Accreditor for seven years. Her research interests include supportive care and blood and marrow transplant and related complications.
