Healing, Optimism, Pharmacy, and Advocacy: Stories and Perspectives from Oncology Pharmacists
New Book Tells your Stories in your Own Words
HOPA proudly presents Healing, Optimism, Pharmacy, and Advocacy: Stories and Perspectives from Oncology Pharmacists, a brand new publication about the hematology/oncology pharmacy experience, by hematology/oncology pharmacists.
The book collects stories from members of HOPA and the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP). Authors wrote from across five continents and range from longtime figures in the field to newcomers to the profession.
An intial call for story submissions garnered more than 80 entries. The one thing they have in common? They are all stories of finding a home and purpose in oncology pharmacy.
"From the moment I stepped onto a hematology and oncology service, I was captivated by the complexity of the diseases, the resilience of the patients, and the intricate decision-making that defines this field," writes Onyebuchi Ononogbu, PharmD, MPH, BCOP, in her essay.
