Lisa is retired from a career in healthcare in a range of roles from medical technologist, information systems analyst, healthcare management consultant, and performance improvement leader for healthcare organizations.

Lisa was diagnosed with stage 1 triple negative breast cancer in 2016. She participated in a surveillance clinical trial starting in 2018, then a Phase 2 treatment clinical trial in 2021. Through this experience she has been an advocate for cancer patients with a variety of organizations and in a range of volunteer roles. Lisa has been trained as a Peer Specialist in the Cancer Support Community, Peer Clinical Trials Support Program. She educates patients about clinical trials, shares her personal experiences as a clinical trial participant, and provides educational resources. She is in CSC's first docuseries on Justified Medical Mistrust: How Does a Clinical Trial Benefit Me? Another health advocacy related role included serving on a Health Equity Advocacy Council for a health insurer.

Lisa has BS and MBA degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. She is an avid skiier who enjoys travel, the arts, walking, hiking, and dining out.
