Identity

Identity is a combination of characteristics, experiences and attributes that shapes who you are. Learning about one's identity in society is imperative in understanding the impact of identity within healthcare administration, as well as key factors that inspire decision making for every person.

Self-reflection

What is Cultural Humility?
"Cultural competency and cultural humility regard learning about other cultures, controlling your biases, adapting your behaviors and communication style considering the background of people around you, and being aware of power imbalances and biases, and respecting others’ values. Both have the goal of using knowledge about different groups to inform how you interact with others."
Practicing Cultural Humility When Serving Immigrant and Refugee Communities

Community and belonging

Allyship is all about amplifying the voices of people from marginalized groups and support them in each space. Allyship can look different for every group and every person. Learning about allyship is key to standing up for care without barriers.
