Patrick Medina, PharmD, BCOP, obtained both a B.S. in Pharmacy and a PharmD degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He also completed a pharmacy practice residency at the University of Illinois in 1997, then an Oncology Pharmacy Fellowship at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey in 1999. Currently, Dr. Medina is a Professor of Pharmacy at the University of Oklahoma (OU) College of Medicine and Director of Pharmacy at the Stephenson Cancer Center (SCC). In addition, he is a clinical pharmacist at the SCC and OU Medical Center, SCC’s hospital partner. Dr. Medina is a past HOPA Board Member and has been an active member for over 15 years. Dr. Medina’s role for SCC has been focused on leading the clinical pharmacy team and creating operating policies and procedures. He is also a founding member and co-chair of the SCC’s Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee (PRMC).
