Membership Categories

FULL MEMBERS are pharmacy clinicians, educators, and researchers who are involved in or who support hematology/oncology pharmacy practice. Full members can vote and serve as elected HOPA officers. To join, Full Members pay $125 for 1 year, $187.50 for 2 years

TECHNICIAN MEMBERS are those certified as or working as technicians and are involved in hematology/oncology pharmacy practice. Technician members can vote and serve as elected HOPA officers. To join, Technician Members pay $50 for 1 year, $75 for 2 years. (please contact Member Services to take advantage of the new member 2-year rate).

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS are allied healthcare professionals who are involved in or who support hematology/oncology pharmacy practice. Associate members cannot vote or serve as elected HOPA officers. To join, Associate Members pay $125 for 1 year, $187.50 for 2 years.

RESIDENT/FELLOW MEMBERS (TRAINEE) are those participating in a postdoctoral educational program (ie, residency or fellowship) in hematology/oncology pharmacy practice or research. Resident/Fellow members cannot vote or serve as elected HOPA officers. To join, Resident/Fellow members pay $50 for 1 year, $75 for 2 years. Resident/Fellow members must renew as full members once they havecompleted their residency or fellowship training.

STUDENT MEMBERS are those enrolled in an accredited school or college of pharmacy who are progressing toward a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Student members cannot vote or serve as elected HOPA officers. Student members pay dues of $30 annually. To join, Student Members pay $30 for 1 year, $45 for 2 years. Student members must renew as full members once they have earned their degree.

If you would like to change your membership type (ie: resident/fellow to full member) or take advantage of a 2-year or group membership rate, please contact HOPA Member services at 877.467.2791 (HOPARX1). A Member Services representative will adjust your membership accordingly.

Membership Discounts

• A 25% discount is available to new members who join for 2 years.
• A 5% discount is available to current members who renew for 2 years.

How do I get credit for my referral?

In order for you to receive credit for the referral, your name must be on your referral's application where it asks "recruited by," or, if your referral joined online, an email must be sent to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by your referral noting your recruitment. There is no limit to the number of free months extended membership.

Not sure how to get started?

• Share the benefits of membership with colleagues
• Tell your colleagues to visit the newly redesigned HOPA Web site at www.hoparx.org. The Web site has complete information on membership, benefits, upcoming courses and educational resources.
• Encourage colleagues to attend courses on HOPA U or the HOPA Annual Conference.

**Travel grant cannot be transferred to another member and is distributed in Orlando at the 2012 Annual Conference.
