HOPA (Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association) is a professional organization dedicated to supporting hematology/oncology pharmacy practitioners in optimizing cancer patient care.

Membership Categories

FULL MEMBERS are pharmacy clinicians, educators, and researchers who are involved in or who support hematology/oncology pharmacy practice. Full members can vote and serve as elected HOPA officers. To join, full members pay $100 for 1 year, $150 for 2 years.

TECHNICIAN MEMBERS are those certified as or working as technicians and are involved in hematology/oncology pharmacy practice. Technician members can vote and serve as elected HOPA officers. To join, technician members pay $50 for 1 year, $75 for 2 years.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS are allied healthcare professionals who are involved in or who support hematology/oncology pharmacy practice. Associate members cannot vote or serve as elected HOPA officers. To join, associate members pay $50 for 1 year, $75 for 2 years.

STUDENT/TRAINEE MEMBERS are those enrolled in an accredited school or college of pharmacy who are progressing toward a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or participating in a postdoctoral educational program (i.e., residency or fellowship) in hematology/oncology pharmacy practice or research. Student/Trainee members cannot vote or serve as elected HOPA officers. To join, student/trainee members pay $30 for 1 year, $45 for 2 years. Trainee members should renew as full members once they have completed their residency or fellowship training.

Membership Discounts

  • A 25% discount is available to new members who join for 2 years.
  • A 5% discount is available to current members who renew for 2 years. 2-year renewal rates are: Full ($190), Associate ($95), Technician ($95), Student/Trainee ($57).
  • Group membership discounts may be available for institutions with 10 or more members. For more information, contact HOPA at 877.467.2791.
  • Only one discount at a time will apply.

Recruit a Colleague

HOPA members can earn credits toward their upcoming membership dues by simply recruiting a new HOPA member, who may be pharmacists, technicians, students/trainees, or other healthcare professionals involved in hematology/oncology pharmacy practice or interested in HOPA’s goals.

  1. Encourage a colleague to join HOPA.
  2. Give them your HOPA member ID number to enter when they fill out the HOPA membership application.
  3. For each new recruit, earn a $10 credit towards your next membership renewal, to a maximum of $30 per 1-year or $60 per 2-year renewal.
