The HOPA Oncology Pharmacy Practice Meeting is a one‒two day meeting designed to guide oncology pharmacy providers on how to effectively manage the expensive, high risk care and oncology medications they provide, but still allow for the implementation of new technologies, improvement of safety, and adhere to compliance. HOPA recognizes the financial challenges oncology pharmacists face balancing the needs of their departments to incorporate advancing technological resources and services to improve patient care while the health care dollars they have to work with dwindle. With these issues in mind, Oncology Pharmacists, Pharmacy Managers, Pharmacy Directors, Oncology Residents, Administrative Residents, Oncology Business Managers are encouraged to attend this exclusive program led by experts in the field of oncology pharmacy management.
This robust program will delve into several areas of pharmacy services and show attendees how to navigate specific, day-to-day management challenges. Session topics include: justification for clinical services, cost containment, CPOE and Smart Pumps, maximizing reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.
