HOPA's 8th Annual Conference will be held March 21–24, 2012, in Orlando, FL. HOPA's Annual Conference provides hematology/oncology pharmacists at all levels of experience with the education and research information they need to deliver the highest quality care to their patients. Conference attendees will discuss current controversies in screening and treatment of patients, explore recent developments and updates in the medical literature, learn about new and emerging therapies, and review important principles for hematology/oncology pharmacy practice.

Poster Sessions

Take some time to come and see the impressive work of our members during the poster sessions. This is a great opportunity for networking and initiating some collaboration.

Clinical Pearls

The Clinical Pearls Session is a new addition to HOPA's conference offerings. Come learn about four clinical improvements to integrate into your practice.

Oncology Boot Camp

Consider registering for the preconference Oncology Boot Camp, which will be held on Wednesday, March 21, before the annual conference. This is the best opportunity for new practitioners and pharmacists who may be new to oncology or do not focus solely on oncology to learn what they need to know to provide cancer patients with comprehensive care. Topics covered during the Boot Camp include

• Cell Cycle Control, Angiogenesis, and Mitogenic Signaling Cascade: Things That Help Cancer Grow. Things that Pharmacists Need to Know
• Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors (TKIs) in Hematology
• Tour of TKIs in Oncology
• Getting a TKO on TKI Toxicities.

This workshop is not included in your annual conference registration fee. You must register separately to attend; the registration fee is $50.

Rays of Hope Yoga Fundraiser --  Saturday, March 24th 6:30 – 7:30 am - $40 donation

Proceeds from the event will benefit Give Hope Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides support to children and families in Central Florida who are battling childhood cancer and have a unique combination of medical, emotional and financial needs.
